I love you guys so much, I put my patience in typing all this out again.

Damn! I just posted this up too. Wish i would've saved a copy of when i typed it out before it got deleted. Not sure what happened to my previous thread, but I went ahead an reposting it.

Short and simple. Pretty much removal and installation is easy and self explanatory.

Difficulty: Easy

Time: 15-30 min

Parts: 99-03 Acura TL Strut Bar (part# 74180-S0K-A00)

Price: I paid $10 at the junk yard, $50-55 at Acura Dealership/Online

Tools: 3/8 Ratchet, 10mm long socket, 12mm long socket, Pry tool, a friend to help mock up the strut bar.

Sorry if you were reading my thread prior to this, but bare with me guys. I'm gonna keep the tutorial simple. Message if anything.

First off, prep your Acura TL strut bar. If you getting it from the junkyard, removal is easy from the TL. Its the same as our 6thGenAccords.

Should look like this if not better.

Use your 10mm to remove the bolt holding the fuse box.

Next, begin removing the plastic vent clips from the Window Cowl. There should be two plastive vent clips, to expose the 4 nuts holding the strut bars on your car on both sides.

Then, use your ratchet with the 12mm socket. Remove all bolts holding down your current strut bar braces. There should be 4 nuts on both strut bars.

Make sure you remove any necessary clips/hoses off your old bars, to transfer them over to the new bar.

The old strut bars should come right off.

Installation of the Acura TL Strut bar should be reverse of removal. Try mocking the new bar up.

Dont forget to put the put the fuse box on top of the bar tab on the passenger side, the 10mm bolt goes here. I forgot about it, and ended up having to take off the strut bar again.

you should, I feel somewhat of a difference (or maybe my head playing tricks on me). Feels more stable up front, less front body flex on corners.

Good write up! The best strut bar is this TL one and the Neuspeed one. I have it, and its so much more stable.

Yea, i had the same issue. It broke the little clip holding the washer fluid line. I just pushed it to the side. I'll see I can take some pics later today and post it up.
