After a year with the SI I decided I was looking for something that was faster. I really liked the SI it was a fun car but vtec engaging so high wasn't practical for me and I didn't want to start with turbos and things like that because of reliability issues. I had my heart set on a WRX sedan but after driving it I was disappointed. Very quick off the line no doubt and sounded awesome but I wasn't impressed with the interior and I hated the way it shifted. I drove one without the short throw and one with and they both felt very sloppy. I looked at MS3s but couldn't get over the new body styling. I looked at GTIs and the new ones won me over. The interior is miles ahead of the SI and it's nice to get some torque back. It's a 2010 5 door 6mt with 15k miles

Mods:
15% tint
Hardwired V1
TSW Nurburgring 17"
Debaged Rear

Still to do:
Drop on pro kits
Magnaflow Catback
Side Skirts

UPDATED SHOTS ON PAGE 2

So far I have tinted it, put new tires on and tpms in, and took off the ugly chrome strips the previous owner had on the wheel wells. I only have some sloppy pics with my Droid X so far.

Next up is pin stripe removal and yellow fogs. Should be done later this month.

Not sure where I'm headed with mods. Kicking around the idea of lowering, rims, exhaust, and stage 1 tune

At least you got the 4 door.

Lower it, definately.

Doesn't really need alot of modding, which is good, but if you decide to, I am sure there are some Audi goodies that would be a nice touch as well as some of the 'bigger sibling' VW offerings.

It looks so nice from all angles, Vdub lub.

Assuming you mean yellow fog bulbs, but I think the fog lenses would look sweet if they were tinted yellow w/the black and hint of red and chrome on the front end. But then again those housings don’t look very big so a yellow bulb would probably give them a good amount of yellow hue as is.

Guessing that readout above the clock is the TPMS?

Good call on pinstripe removal. Some wheels will really set the car off. Did you paint the calipers?

I am looking at yellow lamin x film for the foggies. They would cover the whole housing. They are only $17 so if I don't like the look it wont be a big loss. The read out above the clock is actually the concealed display for the V1. I had to get tmps sensors because the previous owner replaced the OEM wheels with these and skimped on tire size and didn't have the sensors. So my speedometer was off 5mph and the tire pressure light was always on. I'm thinking black rims possibly bronze. The calipers come red stock

For some reason it looks higher now?

How do you like the car so far?

I like the car a lot no major issues. I'm going in next week to get my clutch pedal adjusted cause it makes a clicking sound but other than its been good. And yeah rims usually do that. Deciding on what kind of drop I am going with. Most likely the pro kit

Looks awesome! So the VW center caps fit into those TSW's?

What size tires are you running, and what kind?
