A large disappointment that there seems to be is the low amount of displacement on the type-r having a 1.5L engine. Not too sure how I feel here yet since I haven't heard any numbers with pertinence to power yet. Guess we will have to see.

I agree with you on the front end though.

Among the engine choices in the Civic will be a new 1.5-liter turbocharged ..... not just the 1,5L. I think it will have something near or the same like the EDM and JDM civic aswell.

    Love the design.

They said the Type R will be here. I don't think they ever went on record saying what engine will be in it. I couldn't imagine they would swap a smaller one in just to piss everyone off.

Still just a concept so I’ll wait to see what the production version looks like, though they say not much will change. I like the basic design elements present but it’s a little messy at the front.

I don’t care for Civics but I’m glad they are finally bringing the Type-R to the states....long overdue. It needs to be powerful to compete with the Focus, so we’ll see what drivetrain it gets.

I am not too big on the design, it has its positives but its too... umm, gaudy? There is too much going on, looks too busy. I hope the production version tones down the bulgy forms a tad.
