Basically title. Bought this car 5 years ago. Engine was replaced due to a blown head gasket. Was young and stupid. Picked up car from mechanic who I bought the engine through, car was operational. No codes or anything, but stuck in "limp mode". Said it'd be another thousand to get it fully operational, times were tough so I had to pass on it. Can no longer get in touch with him so unable to ask what is wrong. Engine is smooth in idle and power buildup is smooth. Can rev to 3,100 and it stops, in park, neutral, and drive. I can gas it, have the needle shoot up to 3,100, but it stalls there waiting for me to relieve the gas. No needle bouncing.
