3.2 Type-S transmission options?

Hey ladies and gents, I have been looking at the cost of an entire drivetrain swap in the near future as my rebuilt bx7a is agonizingly slowly, but surely on its way out again.

My question to you fine citizens of 6ga is: I know some of you have done the 3.2 swap from the TL (I'm looking at one from the 02-03 Type-S right now) and I know their tiptronic trannies have the same problems/worse ones than ours. Is there a realistic manual alternative for the Type-S or is the same boat as the accord v6's?

Thanks for any input and opinions, the 3.5 is also in consideration, so chat about either is welcome. I want to get a good headstart on this project so I can source the parts well ahead of time (seeing the 3.2 for sub-1000$ is so tempting for 258hp :driving:

Damn, I dont know how I managed to overlook that, simple engine search should have pointed that out. Its a direct bolt up yes?

yup.
not completely plug and play but itll bolt up to practically any J-series

OP, check on V6P and j32a.com for more tips, tircks and info on the swap.

Side note, used to live in BC as well. Kelowna was always a great place to visit.
