So Ive had my friends 03 accord since Im replacing the rear brakes for. Its having a problem with either the window switch or window motor. It keeps making a noise like it wants to close when its already fully closed. And I know Im not hearing things because I can see the door panel slightly move like when you let go of the switch itself. I texted my friend to ask her if she knew about what it was doing. She replied back by saying it started with the passenger side and then it just recently started happening to the driver side. Ive google search the problem, either I word it wrong or something or I mightve missed it, but I cant seem to find out whats causing this. Has anyone went thru this problem on their cars? and would like to share the solution? Itll be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Regulator is worn. The switch has no knowledge of when the window is closed or not. If you do the same test in your car, you will see the door panel move a little. So if you are saying that it makes noise while you hold the switch while it is already closed, I would say the regulator is probably worn.

Also forgot to add that it does this even when the car is off

Okay. So lets say you shut off the key. Does it stop doing it once you open the door and then it won't do it again till you power back on the car?

Okay. I think you might have a combination of a switch failure and a regulator failure because of the switch failure. Does using the window lock stop it from happening?

Disconnect the driver door switches and see if that shuts it down. It definitely should.

does it make a clicking noise? I had to figure out the issue when i had a 7th gen. . For me it was the Master window switch i had to replace.
