New to this forum. I have a 1998 Honda Accord Lx 4 cylinder automatic. Replaced battery now every time I put the key in and start the car the alarm goes off. The lights flash and the horn blares. I ended up pulling the horn fuse. My car doesn't have a key fob. I'm actually not sure if it came with them or not. I am assuming not but I do have what looks like a radio type antenna above my rear view mirror
Purchased the car for my son for when he starts driving. The previous owner never gave us any key fobs.
Yes, they came with remote controls. I never used mine and didn't have any problems in 15 years. You need to contact the person you purchased the car from and see if they may have installed a remote start or aftermarket alarm system. That antenna may be a receiver for the remote start/alarm system.
