Yeah I have. I am sticking with Trek, since I can still get a discount. I have it narrowed down to either the Fuel EX8 or the Remedy 7. I have loved having my hardtail, but with my move to some more technical trails I feel like the full suspension would help me some. I am just afraid that climbing will hurt, but from what I heard the propedal on Treks allows for easier climbing.

The Remedy is a SWEET bike, and would be great if I planned on eventually doing more drops, technical stuff. But I honestly just see myself sticking to just your normal single track, so not sure 150mm of travel will be necessary.

The fuel has 120mm travel, the E2 tapered head tube which I have always wanted to ride, ProPedal DRCV rear shock, SLX 10 speed all around except Crank, and Avid Elixir 5 brakes. (I prefer Shimano though for their ease of bleeding compared to Avid). Ohh and the Fuel is about $300 less for me

Remedy specs: Stronger frame, 150mm travel, same rear shock, Same rims/better hubs, SRAM x7 10 speed except crank (never used SRAM on mtn bike), Elixir 4 brakes

Any thoughts? Trek is having a demo day tom in TN, but it is about 2 hours away, so gonna have to pass. I really want to ride them on a trail, especially to check out the geometry. So far I have owned a 19.5, and 18.5 inch frame, and I do not know if the FS is any different.

Honestly the only reason I will get a new bike is because I still get a discount from the shop I worked at. If it wasn't for that I would not want to spend the 2 grand or so to get a new full suspension.

I still need to get a hitch rack for the new ride. But it is kinda nice only having one roof rack tray, so I never have to drive haha

He was not talking about you. There was a spammer in the thread, but the post got deleted.

The bike rides great, tonight was the first ride and I forgot to put my clipless pedals on...sooooo that sucked. Surprisingly I feel like I can even climb faster than my hardtail. The bike loves going over obstacles and seems to just jump in the air for small drops I attempt

From tonight.
