Hey all, I have the codes p0420, and other fuel trim bank codes, telling me that my engine is running lean and all that sorts of stuff.
I previously had a problem with misfires that was simply fixed with wires and spark plugs, my previous ones only lasted about 10k miles(what a shame). Well, I ordered a new catalytic converter, as well as the upstream and downstream o2 sensors. The problem is, i'm not quite sure what the difference is in either one, as well as where they are located. I know there is one o2 sensor connected to the cat, and hopefully there is another one laying somewhere else, or I'll be short 20 bucks. I have a 99 j30a1 and if you have pictures, or any engine maps that would be helpful, thanks =)

Basically look at the exhaust pipe. There should be one near the manifold which would be the upstream and the one in the cat is the downstream
