My front driver's side seat is trashed in my '98 sedan. I found a salvage yard that has a front driver's seat from a coupe at a reasonable price, but since the salvage yard is a two hour drive, I can't compare the seats. Does anyone know if the coupe front seat is exactly like the sedan front seat?

no, they are different, the couoe seats have a slighlty differnt shape, and feel and the tracks are different, you will need some modding. And thanks for the hook up with the auto shifter, I have the prelude one in now and it is pretty cool.

Oh man, thanks! I assumed they were the same so I'm glad you knew:thumbsup:

I'm glad the shifter worked out for ya. Post some pics of the new shifter! I want to see how it came out.

if u want 2 do the swap.. heres a link
http://syclone.motocrew.com/CG5/seats.htm
coupe seats --> sedan.
" The sedan and coupe seat rails are almost identical, but the inner rail (side of the seat belt latch) hole comes up short to the sedan one. So in order to fit the coupe seats in your sedan, you'll need to swap the inner rail for the driver side, and both rails for the passenger side. The reason the passenger side needs to have both swapped out is due to the quick access option of the seat. "

?
do it so u can be a cool guy. lol
honestly...the coupe seats hug/fit the body better than the sedans... u can see that the sides come out more.

ive driven in both a sedan n coupe 6th gen, and i slide around more in the sedan seats than my coupe.

or if you want to make it look like you have coupe seats in a sedan, get a pair of 01-02 coupe headrests, the big ones with a hole in the middle. and baam, you look like you have coupe front seats.
