It's been a good amount of time now, but some of you may remember over the summer unfortunately my car was involved in a fire which left it, I believed at the time, to be totalled.

I was crushed, as I'm sure any of you would be, as I was home at the time and had to watch my car burn. The body shop took it in and took a look at it, and after about a week they had a ruling...NOT totaled. I couldn't believe there was any way that this was true. They said the deciding factor was that they weren't going to paint the whole car. So they got started on it.

WAIT...WTF?? Not going to paint the whole car?? They only planned on painting one side. Did someone not tell these guys that 7 year old paint fades? So they get it painted and then we get another phone call. "Well its going to be a little bit longer...the paint isn't matching up, so we're going to have to shoot the whole car again." Wow, there's a radical discovery. And as it turns out, if they had said that from the beginning...the insurance company WOULD have totaled it. I was a bit nervous, and although I am not really into building out my car anymore, I leave you with comparable pictures to the ones above of the thing of beauty I got back.

glad to see you back, we pull that @ our shop 2.. u write the estimate so that it wont be totaled, then you just hammer insurance companies for suppliments lol. they painted ur car, saw the color wouldnt match, had insurance come back and see it, and then put in a suppliment for the rest of the car to be sprayed.

we had a tl that was crushed in the front and the suspension exploded on the left side, transmission cracked etc. insurance never saw it so they wrote the estimate to fix when it was easilly totaled by more then 85%. started to fix and wound up gettin like 30,000 in suppliments from the insurance company. they paid more then the car was worth

I really was glad to have my car back. Not having to worry about paying car payments again enabled me to get the apartment i wanted, so it all turned out for the best in the end
