I recently took my car off the road for the winter. I let it sit for about 11 days without starting and then started it and it started fine. I then let it sit for about another week in a half. I heard about a battery tender. I went to pep boys and bought one then hooked it up. I think it was in for like couple days but it has a red light which meant it was charging. I kept checking and it was on but I did not check it a lot. It is supposed to turn solid green when it is completely charged. I went to start the car today with it unhooked and the battery is dead. The light was never green it was solid red so I went to pep boys and they gave me a new one. I hooked it up and I am waiting. Has anyone ever used these or know how long it would take to charge a battery.

not sure what that battery tender for but if the battery is out, you can bring it to Autozone and they will check it up for you for free. they will suggest if you need to buy a new one or just need to recharge. they will do it for free besides buying a new one.
