Battlefield 4 anyone?

Hey guys I just picked up battlefield 4 last night and it's a blast if you haven't played it yet.

I'm on PS3 for those that want to join me.

 

I keep thinking of trying this series. Is there a downloadable demo?

RR, there was an open beta but it's closed now

If you're an FPS fan it's def worth a shot
it takes a bit more patience than COD, and if you have shit teammates it isn't nearly as fun
but there is a much higher chance of epic/ridiculous things happening since the level deformation is so crazy

 

Gonna play after work. The beta wasn't fantastic, but it was an older build.

its going to look incredible on ultra settings at 60+fps on my tv. Anyone else on PC, we can be origin bros

 

I am not sure Chris if there is still a demo out there anymore. It really is a lot of fun on multiplayer. It does take some getting use to since you do use like every button on the controller.

for nvidia users, a new driver is available and is deemed an "essential" upgrade...331.65 http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/68799

havent had a chance to use it yet, since theres a 677MB update being installed

while that downloads, some of my initial impressions:

-you are spotted 90% of the time. remember that.
-TDM is rooftop camping heaven
-related, you cant really run around like in BF3 TDM because theres just soooooo many vertical levels where enemies get stacked. it becomes a spawn stalemate (like on nosehair canals, one team plays the railroad tracks, the other plays the water/crane side)
-ammo. its a gamebreaker.
-be prepared to be killed behind cover constantly...XM25, nades, 320s...
-theres a ton of vehicles in conquest, so you pretty much need to be in one
-get on top of the crane in "rouge transmission"...the view is amazing if youve ever watched or played goldeneye
-pistols are beast, i assume this update is nerfing them

gonna try the single player while this download completes...

 

2 hours of gameplay, 40 kills. thats playing mostly TDM...

this game is a 6/10.

 

Yeah I don't play tdm at all. Squad death match and conquest are my favorite.

I would suggest you play hardcore if you are worried about being spotted. No maps or names pop up.

I just wish you could join your clan before joining the room though.

It is a campers paradise in regular tdm though. A lot of snipers in this game that's for sure.

 

i mean, i LOVE sniping...the SV98 is my #1 weapon in BF3 second is the spas with slugs i unlocked the M40 on BF4 just a little while ago and im going to town on some domes.

the game has crashed on me or the servers have disconnected probably a dozen times today...i thought the point of the beta was to test them?

 

played through most of the campaign last night, just the two last missions to go...really liked it so far. no button mashing cutscenes like BF3 (or especially RE5).

went to play just now after hearing that dice is working to fix the launch stability issues...played for all of 15 seconds before the game crashed cant queue up for servers yet so you have to constantly refresh the server page to join...
