Best oil for our 6thgen's..4cyl

With boost I run 10w30. Car isn't driven in the winter so I don't worry about thinner oil in the winter. Synthetic sucks for F23s. They consume to much oil to use synthetic. I popped the last motor on sythetic after 2 oil changes...it made me wonder.

Maybe you made the valves float? Did you put too much oil in it? :eek:

i don't know but my dad dosen't follow the oil cap... he said the car has 88k miles on it so now we should use 10w-30...

It's actually in the owners manual that 10W-30 can be used if the temp. in your area never goes below 20 degrees. It's also been said that it stays up in your head longer.

ohh i see, well i live in houston texas and i don't think it ever gets close to 20 degrees... but i got scared when he went far off the label on the cap XD
