i've recently went through this thread on v6performance.net saying that short ram showed more improvement than CAI does. but this was for a 7thgen accord, i believe. so for our 6thgen, does CAI or short ram actually improve hp? and disregard brands because i know AEM is a good intake. :D i'm currently using Bomz short ram and noticed that the tube gets hot! should i just go ahead and buy a AEM intake or spray it with high temp which i heard it will cool it down?

You won't notice a difference in power, only the sound.

I say stick with a short ram because you avoid any chance of having water sucked up into your motor.

Short ram = top end power

Cold air = low-mid power

basically, there is not much difference other than sound and ease of install. if you cant take off your bumper or manage to get the airbox out, then stick with a short ram. your almost better getting a k&n filter for the air box and buying a header instead, youll see more gains from that.

this is an exact duplicate of this thread:

sri vs. cai

this topic has been brought up beat to death and brought back from the dead and beat to death again, its like some zombie topic that wont die. This has been
discussed time and time again, its just wasting bandwith. I dont want this forum to turn into h-t and Im not trying to be a search nazi....but it gets kinda old.

Maybe there should be a sticky on searching... we have a wealth of info.
