is it just me or did the 6th gens get really crap paint the years of production or what??

If you leave ANY car outside long enough, the paint will crap out. I think the 6th gen paint is as good as it gets. I got a 99 with 160k and an 00 with 100k that were both always garaged and the paint is mint on both. My neighbor has a 5thgen with 150k that was always parked outside and the clear coat is flaking on the hood, roof, and trunk.

if you really wanna be cheap, sand it down, primer it and send to to maaco and have them paint it and clear coat it, make sure they put a solid amount of clear coat on it btw, thats one place they tend to cut corners
