check engine came on .. car dont rev past 4k rpm

ok like the title says the ligth came on when i was about to hit the hwy
(i hit the ramp a lil faster then usual ,,,, do you guys think this is what made the car trip )

i saw it come on, i was like ! wtf !!!
then the car felt kinda sluggish
not the same as before it came on and didnt sound the same
then when i tryed to catch up to traffic the car stoped revving at 4k..
like if it was redlineing

i still dont check what code it is i just got home and posted this
ima go see what that code it has
please any help is great i need to fix this car is my daily driver i comute 45 miles err day please help thanks

i was thinking about that because all the oil would have gone to one side and not pick up any ...
but that would be the oil ligth would come on

Check your oil level, and post up the CEL code once you retrieve it.

i don't see how you expect us to help without you even getting a cel.


either way, there are many reasons why your vehicle may go into limp home mode. but like everyone said, it's your oil level.

mine faults.. CEL pops on.. car revs out at 3,500.

i have a handheld scanner, when it happens to me i plug it in, clear the code and turn off/on the car.. fixed! lol im usually ok til i start to beat on the car again

i dont suggest you try it (if it is infact the code you are throwing)
