Help! I need to pass emissions, how do I fix this problem? It's for the o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 heater circuit and I was told there was a fuse for it that could be blown but if there is I don't even know where it is, also in the cold mornings my car does not idle high to warm up the car... Why is this?

It could be the sensor, or I've seen people say they got this code but it ended up being the catalytic converter that wasn't working which made the sensor throw the code. So I'd inspect those. Does the car ever bog down, or do you hear any rattling?

Please use the search function before posting threads to see if your question has been discussed and/or answered, there's wealth of information on this topic.

Btw the fuse panels have a diagram etched on them which tells you what each is for. Or you can check your owners manual. Or you can buy a Haynes manual from a local auto parts store for $15 which has that and lots of other useful info about your car.

That's weird. I believe the code represents an electrical open in the heater circuit on the downstream O2 sensor.

If you go to verify the heater in the O2 sensor and it winds up being good, recheck all fuses. Check for 12V on every leed of every fuse wile the common on the meter is just on ground. Fairly simple and quick. But I think if a fuse was bad, you would have a code for the upstream sensor as well as that has a heater too.

Upstream is right on the header on the 4 cyl. On the V6, it is right before the flex section of the exhaust where the two downpipes meet. The catalytic converter is where you will find the downstream sensor.
