This is the exact listing I bought it from.

Jordan, on my 1999 sedan bumper. So yours pretty much "hugged" your bumper when you put it on? Because mine comes no where close to "hugging" it. Like I said, it's like it is not curved enough.

Mine came straight, like yours, so I had to bend it somewhat. But it never resulted in a bump in the middle. It just wrapped around the bumper like oem would.

why r u using a heatgun?

a regular hair dryer will suffice... also, u're supposed to let it lay out in the sun for it to properly flatten

I tried a regular hair dryer yesterday, and it sucked.
I thought laying it out in the sun only helped when it was hot outside?

It's normal for it to be hard to pull around the edge, but I dunno about the hump in middle.
I don think you should return it tho.. Just cut some pieces and it'll be good.

i would just cut some slack out of the middle of the bump and throw some fiberglass on it to keep it together. that is terrible though. they will probably make you pay for return shipping.

It's actually not tight around the edges either. If one side is pulled tightly, the other side can have almost a cm of clearance where it screws in. This thing is a pos.

I am just pissed because I didn't pay $80 like everyone else JUST to have to ghetto rig some shit. And yeah, I would have to pay shipping if I got it returned. And thats cool, too. I'll roll this ***** up into a Kleenex box if they wanna play that ****. I paid the normal price I think I should get the normal product.
I am beyond pissed right now. Yesterday my debadging went terribly, so I had to put them back on. Now this. My auto is starting to slip. I just replaced the alternator. Need new brake rotors. I swear I'm about to just drive this damn car off a cliff.

That's weird, Tyler, I would think it would be a direct fit on the 98-00 bumpers. Then again, it's polyurethane.

I have the same exact lip, although I had to mod it to fit on my 01-02 sedan. Mine only has one small wave (not a major one like yours though) but nothing that double-sided tape can't fix.. no biggie. I also needed to cut slits on each side where they mount to the side of the bumper to relieve some tension cause it was a very very snug fit on a 01-02 sedan bumper. It just looks like the lip is too snug on your bumper, causing that wave effect.

I assume Vlad had to do the same as well, am i right?

For this very same reason, is only more proof that I am waiting to put my lip on in the summer. You really can't beat a full hot sunny day 90+ weather to make that thing more pliable. You need long, low, even heat to really make life easier one you. In my opinion a heat gun is too hot, and too direct. Maybe try building a fire in a fireplace and lay it on the hearth a couple feet from the fireplace glass and monitor how how it gets. Good Luck.

Yes my friend your rite, except I did it all by hand in my room so it's kinda of wavy in the middle wich bothers the faak out of me but, I'm doing a 01-02 coupe conversion after winter so it will do for now.
