Re: vss wiring after 5 spd swap( lots of pics)

That write up is pretty complete. Im not sure what the problem is. Im also not sure why people are trying to do all the splicing into the AT circuit instead of simply running the 5 wires that need to be run.

The VSS it self has 3 wires, one is power, one is ground and one is the signal. The signal wire needs to go to 2 places, the ECU and the gauge cluster. The write has the wires going through the multiplexers in an OEM fashion, the correct way. But you dont need to do it that way if you feel it makes this more complicated.

I just did all this to my emissions motor last summer, the one I got from the junk yard was an auto.

All the resources are here people, all the wiring colors, all the surrounding wire colors, all the connectors, everything. The next step would be doing it for you. :p

Not all of us understand wiring diagrams as easily as you do. I know for myself I hate having to deal with it in any form. I even hate wiring in a radio, as simple as that is.

A quick run down then, power usually comes from the top, ground at the bottom. The number next to the wire is the pin location. Wire color should be fairly straight forward except for a few colors, ie, Blue is L, purple is V, and may be a couple others I cant think of now.

People tend to over think wiring Ive found. Its really not as bad as people think it is, as long as you have a multimeter. Every wire and a begin and end, just like a math problem.

Im still not exactly sure what the TS is having trouble with though. Is it a certain connector that cant be found? or is he expecting someone to point to every single one? Or is just single wire that cant be found. May be I missed something. . ..

I understand your frustration but, like I said I just went through half a day of agony following turbowa writeup and ended up just figuring it out from a honda wiring diagram.
At this point I would pay someone to wire my manual ecu and VSS up but Im going to do it for myself so I can write the DIY article, Once its done I can just link people to it.

Re: vss wiring after 5 spd swap( lots of pics)

now looking through every thread on this site and countless other sites i have finally wrapped my head aound this very difficult to c math problem (like drift said)
now badger type had this very percise and easy to read ecu pinout diagram labeled and everything (dummy down version) its a adobe file so if you dont have that program u better install it cause this is some helpfull stuff in doing any wiring job
http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/at...5&d=1111724327
nd this is wat i came up with based on lots of bits nd pieces of info
picture.php

im not to sure about pigtail order, is it ground/power/signal or power/ground/signal
now i havent tried this yet nd this is probably not oem official, this is the ghetto version, but i will try this later on today nd ill report back
nd if it works ima post a diy
