long story short, mustang took a good bite out the side of my Accord and with only a little paint transfer.:ohsnap:

egh. insruance says it will be $1306 to fix. body shop at the honda dealer says a little more, because they forgot to include refinishing the rim.

Essentially the drivers door, passenger door, quarter, windshield pillar, rear bumper cover and roof are to be repaired/repainted.

Coolest part is that the guy at the bodyshop said they should be able to re-clear my roof which is beginning to fade in 2 spots - no charge.

I hope it looks as good as it sounds when I get it back. I wanted to drop it off for next Monday (as they said work is best started on a Monday) but then I remembered I have family coming and will be doing airport duty. I could probably find a way to get a rental, but I'm not really interested in doing so.

We still have the old 98 odyssey here, sitting retired at the end of the driveway, so I think the 1st week of December I'll drop it off and use the Ody to get to school and back for a week.

After pics in about 2.5 weeks I guess? They said it would be done in 4-5 days. I expect to pick it up Friday the 5th.

I was going to keep all the money (they wrote me a check) and just have the paint buffed out in a detail. Then I was going to tint it, replace my stock HU and speakers, get the timing belt/water pump and my leaking rear main seal done ($800), and put the rest to my car note, which is $275.

Part of me still likes that idea way more... then another part of me wants my car to look pretty again. Maybe I should go have the detail done and see how good of a job they can do. Then decide?

I wish my car was a 5lug! I love all the 5 lug honda/acura rims way more than the 4 lug ones.

I can't believe you were even considering not getting it fixed.

Do the responsible thing and put her in the shop.

Additionally, if it was the other guys fault, tell his insurance co you need a rental.

I am I am. :)

I'm selling it in 1-2 years and I need it to look good. The 2005 TL will be my DD then.

The "other guy" is my Mother, and her insurance won't get me a rental because I'm not 18 yet. I might be able to get one if its in my Mom's name... but that's just more complication.
