Digital Camera Recomendation

Ok, so I've had my Canon S70 for a while now and want a new and better digital. Something like this:

then...why not get a g9?

look into the older models like the g7 or g5.

or...imo the a710/a720is are good

It all depends on what you want to use your camera for. If you want unsurpassed image quality and interchangeable lenses and a bigger feel, get a DSLR. If you want portability and usability in a cheaper, all-in-one sort of package, get a bridge camera (like a G9/7/5)

So, the G9 for the money is a good choice then. I didn't know if anyone had experience with other types of digitals. Like I mentioned, I want to upgrade. The older G5/6 are heavier though right?
