So i was getting tired of my old catch can filling up every once and a while and spilling over into the engine bay, i decided to make a new one. As long as you have a welder this is pretty easy to make. The dimensions for the can are 6x4x7 and it fits right behind the windshield washer fluid. The part list is as follows:

    Thin sheet metal
    2 3/8 brass barbed fittings
    1 drain valve
    5 feet of 3/8 hose
    2 small filters

    Here are some pics:

    More or less welded together:

Well thats all i got for now...feel free to leave questions or comments.

Don't forget Andy, he's running turbo and there is more blowby. No sense in making the small Kobalt catch can if you have to empty it pretty often.

I believe that in the end, after it's touched up and polished it would look good. Good job on DIY. Cheap large catch cans can be gotten as low as $20 though, no name, and no time investment..

You just don't get the experience and pride though, if you buy one :).

How are you going to weld that brass barb to steel though?? If you don't seal it you will have a boost leak..

Damn that thing is huge like a battery box!

A little update on the catch can. Pretty much done welding. Just have to drill the filters into place and paint it. Take a looksy and tell me what you think.
