So my friend has a saturn(which isnt important) and did his very own what he calls home depot intake, i was thinking to do the same just for kicks. What i need to know though is if anyone has important measurements i should think about while doing it....like size? should i get a certain amount of pipe or just free had it and return extra??? also i dont think it would be a good idea to start at 3in then widen up to four then back to three for a filter.....if anyone has done this or knows anything reply so i can get started over this weekend :jarred:

Note: how could i make openings needed for important hoses and junk???? NO CLUE WHAT IM DOING :nutkick:

well for the holes and stuff i'd just ask your friend how he did it. and also why not just use the stock intake tube and do a resonator and airbox delete and throw on a K&N filter. and intake won't give much gains at all, but if you want it for the sound then the FILTER would do just fine

drill, smaller pipes, glue... so i presume. But with as much as you might end up spending, why not just get an ebay intake? Arent they super cheap?
I personally think this is a better option.

This might sound stupid but i already have a K&N filter in my stock intake, i just wanted to make a cold air(even though its winter) also it would be much cheaper than ebay, Ebay would run about 40 bucks, i can get 10 bucks worth or PVC pipe and a 20$ filter to put in the bumber :) all the way down

If you already have a K&N drop in filter on there then just do the above ^.
The tube currently serving for the intake is probably much better then what you would buy from a hardware store anyz.

you could just run a slightly smaller pipe from the stock intake tube down to where a CAI would go.
and Badger, that was great
