eBay cold air intakes are like $30. I can't imagine you getting an aftermarket filter and the supplies needed to make your own intake piping for any cheaper than that.

you're not going to get any power out of all that extra piping, if you want a more noticeable intake sound but want to keep the stock stuff, and have no idea what you're doing, do a hybrid.

buy the piping from ebay, get a drop in filter, replace the plastic piping with the aluminum piping, remove the resonator and enjoy.

you'll get the sound you want w/o having to do a bunch of unnecessary modifications. and since there's no power gain to be had there's no real point in wasting your time and money with all that extra stuff
