Re: DYI Video on changing clutch

Looks easy! I'll be using this video. The reason this is a very good video is because it shows and explains each step. Who cares that they were pre-loosened. As long as you can get to the points that the dude did, and continue until it's finished you should be all set. Moving tranny to the side like that seems easier than taking the subframe off to drop the housing..

Good synopsis of the project with the most important parts outlined.

Has anyone else had a tremendous amount of trouble taking out the passenger side axle(trans side)? Such a PITA! I was really worried the whole thing would have to come out to get that job done but it doesn't seem so, as long as the transmission cooperates lol. Good video

Good video. It actually is pretty easy to tell you the truth. I took out, seperated the casing, re-sealed, re-installed, all in two days at maybe a couple hours a day because it was leaking and i took my time, and didn't know a single thing about what i was doing.

The only thing i really honestly needed was a axle nut socket that was "specialty", other than that a breaker bar helps a lot, or the end of your jack handle also....

Wow that guy is super sloppy. He just freakin dropped the car at the end. I would never do that to my accord :p. When i changed the clutch i pulled the whole motor out. Just couldn't separate the trans from the motor while it was in the car. Freakin dowel pins siezed.

To correct Scotty in context of the AT slipping; "Because if you have an automatic it means your transmission is breaking down and that's bad news meaning you're FUKD!
