That's what I do. I buy a pack of the cheap tri-blades and one blade will last me several weeks. However, I was given a fancy Gillette Mach-something-or-other with 5 or 6 blades and it was NIIIICE. Really made me want to make the switch.

I took you as an electric man, lol. I remember seeing your kit in the hotel when we did your swap but I dont recall your razor type, lol.

They send you a handle that fits the blades you use. I'm assuming one blade/refill is $1+, $6, or $9. That's $12+, $72, or $108 a year. I dont even think I spend that much on the cheap blades.

I might buy The Executive and see how long I can make it last. If I only have to buy a handful, it might be worth it.

I use Mach3, one of those cartridges lasts me a few months and I shave every other day. One of my friends knew I was interested in trying straight razor shaving and bought me a kit. Let me tell you something...it's not easy, lol.

Damn. I'm lucky if my mach 3 blade lasts a month. I shave every day and have extremely coarse facial hair, it beats the blades up pretty good. Sometimes I can get a month and a half, but once it starts pulling rather than cutting it's got to go.
