HK is awesome. Two HK reps came to a range by my old apartment once, and for $30 you could shoot an MP5. So I shot a few in single round, several on 3 round burst, and then unloaded the rest of the clip on full auto. It was sooo fun haha.
Only HK I've fired was a HK P30. Nifty little gun. BEAUTIFUL!!. I honestly didn't really like it though. It was a range gun so maybe that had something to do with it. I had 3 separate failures to feed over a 100 round box of 147 grain Federal, (No my thumb was not rubbing against the slide). Fits great in the hand, looks great, and has awesome sights. I honestly hate the DA/SA trigger though. If I was goin to get a DA/SA German Pistol. I'd get a Walther P99C A/S. Much cheaper, fits better in my hand, and does exactly what the P30 does, just as well.
Okay the Beretta isn't quite like a .22 Granted I guess I'm comparing it to the .357 or something. Since those are the only two I ever shoot
I picked up a ar-15 lower receiver just in time for the rest of the parts to skyrocket in price and be out of stock till who knows when...sigh
Basicly. Lol. But don't tell the block fanboys that. They'll shnit brix. I feel you on the block thing, honestly...its like the iPhone. They all look the same.
I don't understand how people can say they don't like Glocks.. I mean the things just work. Plain and simple. Sure you can say they are ugly because god knows they are, maybe they don't fit right in your hands, maybe you don't like the sights, but come on. Ease of operation, disassembling, cleaning. As accurate as most out of box pistols. Die hard reliability and quality for a reasonable price. The magazines are bulletproof too, not to mention you can drop a 33 rounder into a Glock 26. Idk.. I'm not a fanboy I'm more of a Springfield/Walther guy. Glocks are undeniably great though.
I stated why I don't like them. Hate is a strong word, I should say 'strongly dislike'. I won't deny they're well built and have quality construction, it's just the way they look and feel was enough to deter me from wanting one. I haven't really come across a handgun that I found difficult to operate, disassemble, or clean...so that didn't really factor in for me, personally. I can appreciate every gun for one thing or another that it does well though. Reminds me of a story. I was at a range once back in college, in a not so great part of town, and a big dude walked in with a long silver suitcase...of course I assumed there were rifles in it. Nope. Glocks, all of them, there was at least 6. He asked me if I wanted to fire any of them, I declined. It was a bit strange haha, guess he loved them.
