Funnest car you've owned....

Post details on the car you've owned that was the most fun and why....

I'd have to go with my old 92 Thunderbird Supercoupe I owned from '06-'08 while in highschool. Supercharged 3.8 V6/auto. Got it in a trade and fell in love. Had 170k on the odometer, but the motor/trans/rear end had all been rebuilt. Only mods were mufflers, walbro 255lph fuel pump, and 3.55 gears from a Cobra diff. Thing was a monster on the highway. Fastest I've ever gone top end wise in a car, 141mph GPS verified and didn't take long to get there. Embarrassed quite a few cars at stop lights in it as well, mainly local DSM's and 4.6 Mustangs. It was starting to rot pretty bad in the rockers under the side skirts, and I was never a fan of it being bright red so when I got the right offer I sold it away. Someday I'll pick up a cleaner example in the 5 speed flavor (interesting tidbit, these cars used a Mazda sourced manual transmission and NOT the Tremec T-5 or T-45 of the same era Mustang's) and keep it forever. They also used the same Eaton M90 blower as newer Grand Prix GTP's FWIW.....

Close 2nd is my '93 240sx coupe I still own. Razor sharp handling and responsiveness. The term "point and shoot" comes to mind

For the sole reason that it's RWD and all my other cars have been FWD, plus 50/50 weight distribution, 6spd manual, a very tunable turbo four, and the fact they benchmarked the e46 3-Series to develop a tossable chassis and the handling dynamics, I'd say my ATS is the most fun I've had yet. Dislikes? 4cyl doesn't sound great, ebrake is electronic, gauges design is meh, no fold down rear seats, trunk/rear seats are cramped, and I have a car payment for the first time ever at age 35 haha.

2003 Jeep Wrangler, which I bough new and still drive. It is heavily modified and a great trail rig.

I plan on dropping a SBC 350 (no, *not* an LS) in her next year. Right now she has the stock 4.0L I6, with a ton of goodies in the suspension and driveline.

Just something about the grace and control of a good handling rwd car once you learn its characteristics and driving dynamics. Fwd cars that handle well are just always so much more dramatic and twitchy while doing it

The 03 ASpec project isn't done yet, so, I can't say that is my funnest car.

The Accord, post-J35 swap is mine, at this point.

Right before it's unfortunate demise, the car was a blast.

Handling was awesome, speed/power for what it had, was great.

Miss it, but at this point, I am leaning more and more towards making a similar decision to several others on AZine, because there is something about class/luxury and power all in one modifiable package.

what tires u running? toyo or BFG MTs?

I usually run 33x12 BFG TA/KO tires, but swap out the rims/tires for anything beyond simply "fun". For trail runs (especially overnighters) in lots of varying terrain I have a set of older BGF MTs that I really like - same size, on cheap, black steelies. They are getting dry rotted, though, so I have to do some shopping/spending this summer.

The ATs are on Mickey Thompson rims and are shown in the photo.

Agree. RWD has spoiled me, don't know if I can ever go back haha.
