Oh how I wish I had preordered this game a few months ago. I will be selling a few games this weekend so I can afford this game. Anyway we now have a thread to discuss everything GTA5, it's going to be epic!!
Seems like some copies have bugs and won't work.. My friends didn't work. I don't know if its just me or I'm being a noob but I think the on foot controls have been completely changed. I tried changing them in settings but still it's not the ones I played on gta4... It's kinda irritating because I keep doing wrong things since I'm so used to gta4 controls. In car controls slightly changed I think.
The dynamics are definitely different than previous versions of the game. I haven't played it yet, but after seeing a lot of screenshots, things like weapon selection/use of weapons are different. I'm going to try and snatch a copy of it this week. **** looks soooo fun. MFW I see screenshots online.
Your friend might have installed the play disk also. I've heard that messes stuff up with the 360 copy. Not sure why is does it or what it messes up
All I know is this game better not play like GTA IV. They went overboard trying to make that game "realistic" when it came to physics and environment interaction, and that took away a lot of the fun. i.e. hitting a pedestrian or two while driving and flying out the front of your windshield 100 feet. The other thing I'm wondering about is switching between the 3 characters, which I think you have to do for the story to progress.
Just picked up my copy 2 hours ago. So far... I love the driving physics, definitely an improvement over GTAIV as the steering is not as heavy. The graphics have improved, IMO, and the overall environment seems to be brighter and livelier, which is a plus over GTAIV. The feature I love the most so far is the fact that you can lose your wanted level by simply being out of the cops' range of sight. You can gain distance from the cops, ditch your car, run through an alley, and hide until the cops give up on the search. This makes it much more realistic than past GTA titles where no matter where you hide, cops seem to know exactly where you are.
I just picked up the game installing as I type. I traded three games in on GTA5 and got $44.00 for all three. That left me only paying $19.59 for GTA5. I walked out of BB with a huge grin on my face.
