mmmmm ACS Type II and III :boink:

i can't believe how expensive BBS RSs are :eh: since "everybody" has them the market should be saturated by now.

and i love those AMG aeroblocks. they'd look perfect on a W126 with other AMG bits.

just paying for the name hmm interesting, so you dont think they are quality wheels huh? I dont understand your "be original" point of view, what exactly is original to you? Go to the members rides section of this forum and tell me what wheels you mostly see on the cars there (HINT = TL, newer accord wheels and knockoff wheels)

This is a true statement. Not everyone fits it but the vast majority do

I never said they weren't quality. I just said that it seems these days that everyone either has them or is pining after them and I just dont get it. If they are quality, then indeed, you get what you pay for. But why pay all that money for something that someone else has?

And there's nothing with Honda or Acura OEM wheels at all. Knock-off wheels goes back getting what you pay for as we've all seen horror stories from that. Wheels are just one of those places that I feel the cheaper, OEM-quality will do just fine. Some people spend 100s of dollars on watches but $20 on shoes. Some spend 100s on shoes and $20 on watches. It all depends on what you like.

I was stating my opinion, as I was under the impression was allowed here, and IMO, albeit nice and everything, I just dont see the fuss over these things.

First off you said "all your paying for is the name" with that statement you are implying that they are not quality wheels. Second of all, you are saying they are wheels that "every one else has"? My point still stands, go on the member rides forum and check who exactly has wheels like this (out of the almost 9000 members on this website) since you say "every one has them". One thing is people WANTING them or are TRYING to get their hands on them and another thing is actually BUYING them, in that case that ive been WANTING/TRYING to get my hands on a 2012 bentley coupe and let me tell ya its not happening anytime soon. Yes you have your opinion and i completely respect it and thank you for posting it but saying everybody has them is not a fact.

You are correct. My use of the word "every" was over-exaggerated. Everyone does NOT have them and EVERY single Honda Ive seen doesnt have them. But they seem to be what a lot of people want and I dont understand what is so special about them? Granted, yes, they may be of a higher quality than knock-off wheels, but they still scratch. They still bend. They do everything else a "plain" cheap OEM or aftermarket wheel does. I think there's a lot of fad or fanboi or whatever going into them. They do look good and I understand why everyone would want them but once you get them and your car looks like someone elses, where's the fun in that?

looking "good" doesnt even describe it... here's a pic i pulled up off google of BBS LM wheels on an M3 coupe (yes they can fit like this on your 6GA, they come in different sizes/offsets)

its defintitely a beauty, IMO wheels are crucial to the overall appearance of our cars, they can either make it look amazing or like crap so why not go the extra mile if possible to have your car looking better than most of them out there.

And I don't even like newer Bimmers.

But you don't have to spend a fortune on wheels to make a car look good. Some cars look better with baller wheels, others don't. Just depends on the car, and the style of the wheel. Also depends on the car's worth. Pretty retarded to spend a fortune on wheels for a car that's worth very little.
