Ground Control coilover sleeves - discussion

I will be running 225/40/18 on them, and I am sure there will be mild stretch.

I know Eric(changaroo) has a similar setup on his front wheels, although I am not sure what tires he is running.

I will probably just go with Nexen's or Nankang's.

GC’s site charges an extra $40 if you have Koni Yellows. Guess there is some extra hardware needed somewhere?

The Koni Yellow's are not the same as the Sports.

The Sports have a bit more of an aggressive design.

Yellows are SP-1's though, which I thought meant Sport (Yellow is just the nickname they got). I guess as long as the set you get is 4515.02, you're good.

Which makes me shy away from the ones for sale right now, they're paird with Tokico's, so I'm thinking they won't be right for Yellows.

This is what I have found, I don't think they are built all that differently even for different cars,

'Yellows'

'Yellow Sport'

The seller I spoke with on ebay never indicated that there was an additional cost for the GC's for the 'Yellows' and there is no mention of them offering GC's for the 'Yellow Sport'.

Yeah, I knew about his suspension setup when I got the roof rack from him, but since they are for the Blues, they wouldn't be compatible for us.

Yup. Probably won't happen til we close on our house in June, after that I'll know where the funds are.

But I think I'm good to go on this now. Just gonna go with default rates.

Yeah, it's not high on my priority list right now either, but we'll see how things go over the next several months.

Yeah, first thing on my list is getting my front lip repainted and clearbra'd since it looks bad. Then swap to a spoilerless trunk. Then finish rebuilding my wheels. Last, suspension. AFter these projects, probably won't be doing much to the car for awhile, money will start going to the house, lol.
