My handbrake handle has broken and is stuck, luckily my new handbrake handle and boot from eBay came in the mail yesterday but I do not know how to install it at all, anyone know how? I gotta get goin

I got it aftermarket, it's just a leather boot with the rubber handle without the spring inside, I can tell the problem is inside the plastic handle.

Problem is, I don't know if just that is replaceable. It might be riveted in in which case you would have to drill it out and either get a new rivet or replace with a bolt or something. Can you provide a pic?
