I just bought my car a week ago...and the headlights are severely mismatched. There's a sticker on the front bumper that says it was replaced in Nov 2007, so i'm guessing it was a minor fender-bender and only one headlight needed to be replaced. Anyways, below are the pics: can anyone help me identify what I need to get to replace the old headlight? Or tell me how I can find that out?

The new one is much brighter and is aimed differently than the old one. The number on the front cover (TYC 20-5119) is the same for both headlights.

New headlight is first pic.

well which one are you wanting to keep..the drivers side headlight is not factory...the previous owner either bought it that way or painted the chrome himself to make them blackhousing..looks like it also is old since it is getting foggy

there are a few ways to fix the problem... 1)you can buy a new OEM(stock) light for the drivers side...2)u could keep the drivers and black out the passenger side yourself.. 3)just get some other type of aftermarket light for both sides

it sounds like you are wanting to have both look like the passenger side..so the easiest fix would just be buying a new light for the drivers side..which could cost anywhere from 50 for non Honda made to 80 or so from Honda

as for the problem with your headlights not aimed right...you can adjust that simply by opening your hood and using the factory adjustments which you can find where they are in your owners manual

theyre both tycs...which means that neither are oem otherwise they would say "honda" and "stanley" on them.

the new one could be brighter because it has a new bulb in it, and also because the old one is starting to haze.

my advice: hit up the FS section here or go on ebay and find an oem pair.

After doing some further research, I found out that "20-5119" is the OEM part number; the passenger headlight is an OEM part. It's listed under that part name in the Autozone parts directory and I had two different mechanics tell me it was OEM.

This simply means I need a new driver-side OEM headlight. Onto shopping...

By the way, for those who've done it: how difficult is it to install a new headlight assembly?

in the corner of the light under the high beam, it should say HONDA on it...then its oem...

installing is dead easy...remove front bumper, unhook bulbs, unbolt light, switch...do the opposite.

not that hard, the front bumper comes off in like 10min or less. one bolt on either side where the fender meets the bumper in the wheel well, and then a bunch push tabs on the top and underside of the bumper.
