I was driving today, then all the sudden my engine and car dies on my as im driving. What could be the problem? I recently installed my trans cooler if that helps. I also added 3/4 of a quart of atf.

When it shuts off, the lights come back on as if the key was in the on position. brakes were unable to be pushed down, and i could barely steer. When i tried to start it again, it would start. It would crank over.

Ideas? This car is starting to piss me off...

i really need help guys, asap. Could i be low on trans fluid? or maybe too much?

You should check the fluid with the dipstick...but I doubt the engine would die from tranny fluid levels

1) do you have a regular idle?
2) what other mods?

I would say it could be the ignition switch or an bad o2 sensor does it start after you let it sit for awhile? if so it could be the ignition switch gone bad

do you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key?

I just had this issue, it was a $40 pump relay under the dash near the steering column. It's a known issue in the heat. The contacts inside brake over time, and the heat causes everything to expand and therefore no more electrical contact

the car will start if i let it sit for like 5 or 10 minutes.

mods are headers, exhaust, intake, pullies, 02's were replaced.

I have a regular idle.

what does a fuel pump sound like?

What year is your car? And if you give me your VIN I can tell you if you were included in the recall.

I already had honda do my iginition switch once i think for the recall.

Ignition switch may explain why the car wont start right back up right after i turn it off, but doesn explain why it shut off as I was driving.
