Yeah, I was familiar with that. I haven't changed mine yet but I will shortly.
We're still in the process of getting all the DIY's over here.

That center dash pannel is a pain! I'm afraid of pulling the bottom clips out as I'm afraid they're gonna break.

Any of you who have done this before: any tips?

you mean that little pannel under the headunit in that little hole?

if so, that things soo easy, haha, youre not gonna break it, nothing to worry about. if you reach all the way down, youll feel a place on it where its cut away, that was put there so that you CAN safely remove it without breaking anything, just pull it back and it pops out, then you have to gently tug the top clips, if they dont come out when you pull on the bottom.

Ugh ... it wasn't fun, but I did it. I thought it would snap in half or break a tab. I hate pulling this stuff out. I'm always afraid I'm gonna sratch the plastic.

Anyway, it's off now. Time to get the rest of this stuff out and the new filters in.

Thanks for the encouragement, Sketch

Well ... I did end-up breaking one of the brackets that holds the glovebox in. But, the other 3 interior screws and the 4 exterior screws that hold it in should keep it from ratteling.

I just bought this '02 v6 with 54k miles on it. It drives great, but there was a funky smell at times. That's why I decided to change the filters. Good thing too as they looked worse than the picture up above. Hopefully I wont smell that funkiness again.

I traded in my '96 Infiniti g20 for this new ride. This forum has been great, helping me to learn more about the ins and out of these great cars. Thanks again to everyone for all the great information.
