Hood vinyl ideas

Hopefully by the end of summer I should be slammed on fnf type 1's which leads me to my next step in mind...hood vinyl.

After staring at Adrian's Accord multiple times on here and Facebook i've wanted to "steal" his idea of putting some sort of patterned vinyl on the hood.

My dad suggested checker board, and I haven't thought of a good idea yet.

Any clever ideas???
