Ok, so the front struts were blown on my wife's 99 Accord Sedan. I took the opportunity to put on some Tokico blues with HR Sports and upgraded the rear sway bar with the Acura TL bar. The parts have been on for awhile, and I haven't had time to get an alignment. But the car handles like crap. It seems like I constantly over correcting on the steering. The rear feels stiff and makes the car sway with any minor steering adjustment. Could the car not being aligned cause this problem or do I need to upgrade something in the front now?

Get the alignment asap! That will cause the car to pull in certain directions. Also, make sure everything is tight. Did you go back and make sure everything was tight after a week of driving on the new stuff?

get the alignment. when i do suspension work like that, i dont do it unless i can go directly to the alignment shop when done or first thing in the morning.

get it straightened and see what happens.

it will b stiffer in the rear w the thicker swaybar there and not the front but it wouldnt cause the problems you are describing.

Ok cool. I just haven't had time get an alignment with the holidays. But I'll post again once I get the alignment and if the problem is fixed. What could I do in the front to compensate for the stiffer rear?

I would get that alignment ASAP. If your alignment is off so much so that the handling is effected that badly your tires are undoubtedly getting chewed up the more you drive it.

I have the exact same setup except with a generic strut bar combined with the stock strut towers. I can tell you that even without the generic strut bar, the handling on this setup is really good so I would suspect your alignment is the issue.

Thanks for all the input, greatly appreciated. I didn't think lowering the car such a small amount would cause such issues with the handling. Alignment is scheduled for next week. I'll post back next week.
