Now that the offseason trading is really ramping up, what are your thoughts on the deals that have been made?

As a Rangers fan I'm glad we're not footing the bill for Hamilton and I hope we can put that excess cash into getting a true ace.

What's everyone elses thoughts, opinions, etc

Well, I'm not too sure what the Braves are doing with the pitching staff. Traded a gem in T. Hanson to the Angels for J. Walden...did not offer J. Jurrgens or P. Moylan a contract for 2013.

But we did sign BJ Upton. Not sure how that is going to pan out. He's a good consistent player, which we've been missing in the lineup for a while so maybe it will turn out for the best.

Looking forward to seeing what else they do with the pitching staff. They brought up a few from AAA Gwinett, but I'm not too familiar with them. Haven't been paying much attention to the minors as I used too.

I keep waiting for the Rangers to ship out Profar, Olt or even Andrus for someone but I guess they're not enough to get someone like Shields.

    How bout them Blue Jays?

They were long over due for a major overhaul, but I'm not so sure the blockbuster trade doesn't echo some of the Yankees approaches to build a championship team, and have it not happen.

Toronto has made some good moves, especially considering their market size. They could do well in a weak AL-East

We are a good 20 years post back to back championships, so it's nice to see them making a huge push to try and bring it back.
