Hello all, when I received my accord the plastic around my rear side markers were faded and black. I decided to color match them to the body.
Time Needed:
5-10 minutes to remove
45 minutes - 2 hours to paint
5-10 minutes to reinstall
Tools and materials:
Small Philips head screwdriver
Primer OR adhesion promoter
DupliColor Colormatch spray paint OR desired color
(Optional) Clear coat
Let's get started!
Removal:
1: Undo the small Philips screw and push in the opposite side.
2: Pull out the red part and disconnect it.
3: Undo the second hidden screw and pull the bezel out.
Painting:
1: Prime the bezel with a white base for light colors and gray for dark colors.
2: Next, spray the colormatched color.
3: Clear coat if desired.
Reassembly is opposite of removal.
You're done!
