I Want Vtec

just found out today that my accord has the non vtec engine i4
is there anyways i can get vtec?? without having to swap engine

no theres no way to get vtec without swapping a head or engine. trust me its not worth swapping a f23 motor or head. Whats your motor rated at anyway like 130-135 f23 are only like 15 to 20 more hp, plus its not true vtec its fuel economy vtec. If your gonna swap might as well go with the h22.

I guess you have the F23A5 (DX) motor, right?
Only thing I can reccommend is swapping the motor for an H series motor

ive driven my friends dx. It was surprisingly peppy and really light on its feet. The DX motor only has 15 less HP than the F23 but the DX lack of any power contorls and all the other luxurious doo dads means its hella light. Its lack of power is compensated by the cars light weight (well in accord owner perspecitve)I think the DX is under 29000 lbs

I beleive on honda-tech they have a vtec conversion, go up to search and look for vtec conversion, some vendors have them but I don't member where I saw them...good luck on your search!

yea, unless you have a dx, you do have vtec........im pretty sure.

DX = F23A5 (no VTEC)
LX / EX = F23A1 or F23A4 (VTEC)

the f23a4 i think is the ulev vetc motor. i have the f23a1 the regular vtec one, hahaha no ulev for me!!

I've seen vtec conversion kits but I believe they are for the b series swaps.
