ID help with line at linear solenoid 1999 V6

Can someone tell me where the line that comes off the case at the linear solenoid connects? Sorry I'm not able to attach a picture. Discovered it free on one end. Maybe a vent line but not sure.

The line is curved at 90 deg and is about 8mm OD and 5 inches long. It is right next to the solenoid closest to the firewall.

more details?? I have a 98, same engine. Are you talking about the linear solenoid mounted on the top of the transmission behind the battery?
