Hey all, I am going to be selling my current accord for another accord 5spd. I have found a good deal on one that has almost 75k on it. I ordered the carfax reports to make sure it is clean. Now it hasn't been reported in any accidents but at the bottom of the carfax on 1/16/2008 it is listed with 62,789 miles reported at the NY inspection. Then the next one listed on 5/11/2009 it is listed with 17,974 miles sold at an auction and it said it is an Inconsistent odometer reading. Then on 5/17/2009 it got listed for sale at 74,974 miles again. My current car also has an odometer error on carfax. Here is a screenshot of the carfaxes. The carfax of my current car is on the left and the car I am looking to buy is on the right.

Well in 2008 the car had around 62k miles and in 2009 it reported 74k, that is normal miles for 1 year of driving. The 17k at the auction is probably just an error.

The car was accurate as far as 62k miles one year ago, take a look at the car. Make sure all the vin numbers match, look around at the clutch pedal brakes and gas. There should not be that much wear, also check the steering wheel. You probably dont even have to do this, even if you did not know how many miles were on the car, it reported only 62k in 2008. Just how many miles can one person driver in one year? so the car probably does only have 74k or whatever it reads now.

Yea I'm pretty much set with the car. Now is there any explanation for my car? It's saying that after the car hits 99,999 miles it will go back to 0 miles again. Wtf is that? That's bs.
