Hi, I have just joined this forum. I recently bought a 2000 v6 coupe. 30,000 km. I have put collector plates on it here in BC, meaning I must keep it in original condition.
So, I'd appreciate any advice on how to maintain it. Specifically I'd be interested in opinions on transmission maintenance (I've heard it's a weak point), and tires. The car has the original 16 inch Michelins on it. I'd like smooth and quiet tires. I figure I'll be doing mostly long trips in it.
Thanks!

Congrats on the purchase and welcome here. 30K km is such a low km. exterior wise if you want, you can put OEM lip kit if it doesn't come with it. i don't think so it will affect the insurance since its OEM Honda accessory. speaking of transmission, be gentle with it and have ATF replace every year or so.

Thanks. Yes, that's the kind of advice I'm hoping for. I will have the trans serviced before i drive it in the spring.
I'll check out the lip kit as well. It does gave the rear spoiler so a front lip might look good.

I would also invest a transmission cooler for it as well. Can't go wrong a set of Michelins, Defender 2's or CC2's get my vote given your location.

Thanks! I'll check both the trans cooler and tires out. The Defender 2 sounds good; I don't think I'll drive it on the snow so cc 2 may be overkill and I'd prefer a quieter tire over snow reaction.
