I have a 2000 Accord EX coupe 5mt. My car started to get this horrible stutter in first gear. It was right when I put the car in gear and started letting go of the clutch/giving gas. I decided to get an oil change and it still had the same problem. I decided to check the air filter and it was a little dirty so I replaced it with a K&N drop in. Problem was solved immediately. The stock filter was so restrictive esp. a little dirty that the engine stuttered due to lack of airflow. Makes sense. I cant really feel a power increase but the gas mileage did get slightly better. All in all I think it was a great investment considering it only needs to be recharged every so often and has a million mile warranty.

I got a K&N filter but I modified my stock air box into a CAI so theres some gain there for me.

who said anything about hp? like you said throttle response is the gain. its all in the head.
