Okay so I have a 1998 accord f23a1. I can get somebody to pull a motor and trade it to me for mine but theirs is a k24a8. Mine has a blown head gasket and blowby coming from somewhere, idk i’m a noob. He’s just gonna use it for a derby. Mine runs and drives fine for at least 342k miles on it. I’ve been researching everywhere and I can’t find anything about anybody k24 swapping it. I’m not keen on taking anything apart. I can just get a f23 for 300 but i have to pick it up. Or i could pay my coworker 100 and not have to pick it up. I don’t care about the power or anything like that, i just need it to be reliable. Would it work just swapping it and what would i have to do to the ecu or whatever. It’s a manual if that makes a difference.

Lot of custom work needs to be done to complete a K swap on these cars. Mounts, wiring, fab work etc. I know of only one that's been done to a 6thgen. You're better off swapping in the other F23 for 300

Okay now with all of that said, do you think it would be easier to just take like the head off of a junk car and put it on there if it’s the same motor, and would i have to do anything else to it, or is it still easier to do a whole motor swap. Thanks for the quick answer.
