Well the last of his sponsors threw him under the bus today. I am kind surprised all of them dropped him, but I guess one did the rest had to follow. UCI upheld the USADA's ruling, so I guess that officially means he never won the Tour.

I have absolutely no respect for the UCI, especially after hearing that the President Pat McQuaid said this “Lance Armstrong deserves to be forgotten from cycling”

From 1998-2011, of the 42 riders on the podium 26 have tested positive for doping. In 2003 you would have to go to the 5th place rider to award a winner. I am all for trying to clean up the dirtiest sport out there, but they are going about it the wrong way. Instead of labeling the whole sport as dirty they are trying to put it on one person. The one person that probably changed the sport the most.

I was going to say the same thing. What a big group of arseholes.

If I were him I'd take some of my fortune and start my own organization, the shove it in UCI's face. lol

Well, I guess everyone knows the blank spaces were Lance Armstrong, or at least it won't be hard to Google to find out who won those years.

I agree with Will, if he did it, what a scheme he had in place, if he didn't, figure out a way to make the hearing committees eat their words.

They are about PR and public image, so you know that's the stance they are taking so that they can maintain sales.

But, shhhhh, don't tell anyone that.

they're making an example of him aka scapegoat

he may not deserve it 100%, but he knew the circumstances of cheating when he signed up..

in my opinion, the companies did the right thing and he deserves it.. a cheater will always be a cheater

Except for the fact that Nike once paid a former UCI president $500k to cover up a positive test.... yep they certainly are doing the right thing.....
