I've run into this for years, "New Posts" link only works if you go to "forums" first...anyone find a way around this?

^ Sounds like he IS trying to use that link.. So in order to use it he actually WILL have to go there first each time for that link to work.. Which is actually the concern he is trying to address (That's what he's trying to say), so not really sure what you are advising him to do and why... Invalid qualifiers?
