it depends on ur speed... and depends on ur client (software) as well.... bittornado is a good client tht doesn't take up mucho memory..... the speed depends on how much u share.. the higher speed u upload (share), the faster ur dl

used to use KAzaa Lite... less ads and spyware, and it allows u to select individual songs..... i now use bittorrent.... i can dl full albums anytime i want, and tht works for me cos i have a mp3 player in the car

I keep telling myself to try bittorent i think ill give it a shot next time im looking for some sounds

Shareaza is a pretty good program. I use that for everything now. You can use it to download torrents, and it also has a built in search engine, so you can look up individual files (mp3, doc, etc). Some good sites to check out would be Torrentazos (music), and PeerWeb (a whole bunch of stuff).

edit: oh, and it's a good idea to use non-microsoft web browsers, like Firefox, or Opera.
