Re: nazcawil's 98 V6 Sedan

Welcome to the site.

Enjoy.

Like the new wheels, the drop issue has been addressed, so we'll leave that alone.

Suspension Review Thread

I would suggest starting there.

Don't think I have seen those Honda wheels before. I'm sure you can get those sold pretty quickly.

Thanks!

About the wheels, I'd really like to sell them to someone on this site. I'll probably make a f/s thread soon. They are surprisingly rare... I've only seen them once or twice and I look at pretty much every sixth gen that I see haha.

Can't sell if you are below 50 post and haven't been a member for 2 months I believe.

Nice looking car.

Sure you want to sell the wheels? Never know when you'll have to throw on the stock ones. Your choice of course.

Thanks everyone, i'm set on coilovers now, no one has really recommended springs. I had a good portion of money saved up to go lower but I had to get a new catalytic converter yesterday. :boo:

That's a good point. If something were to happen to my wheels (need a knocking on wood smiley..) I'd rather be on the stock wheels than hubs. But I'm also a pizza boy/student and money is tight haha. If I sold my old wheels I would put that money right back into the car... so it's tempting

Car looks good so far, protect it the best you can from getting damage.

I'm on Sportline springs and Koni Yellow shocks, and I love the ride and the drop, which is around 2.75" in the front and 2.25" in the rear (leaves about 1.5 fingergaps all around). I'm changing the springs to Ground Control coilover sleeves but keeping the Yellows, so I can go a little lower and have more precise control of the drop.

I'll recommend a good set of drop springs/sleeves paired with a good set of shocks over coilovers all day. But you should read about both and decide for yourself. Both setups have their pros/cons.

Yeah I really wish I had gone with the GC / Koni Yellow setup for better quality and stiffer spring rates instead of going with a very low entry coilover like Function and Forms.

Good luck on your search for coilovers OP.

The owner of the shop where I bought my headlights recommended the same set up as you have, so I'm definitely going to look into that. Thanks for the help!
